Therapy Caps Set to Expire June 30, Contact Your Members of Congress Today

Congress has until June 30 to pass legislation to address the Medicare Part
B outpatient therapy caps and pending cuts to the Medicare Physician Fee
Schedule (MPFS). Should Congress not take action, the therapy caps will be
implemented at $1,810 per beneficiary and the MPFS will be cut by 10.6%.

Contact your members of Congress today by using AOTA's Legislative Action
Center at <http://capwiz.com/aota/issues/alert/?alertid=10910161>
http://capwiz.com/aota/issues/alert/?alertid=10910161 to urge your
representatives to pass Medicare legislation by June 30 that will extend the
Medicare therapy cap exceptions process and update the MPFS for 18 months.
The Senate is currently considering proposals to address Medicare. We must
ensure that the exceptions extension and MPFS update are included for 18
months to allow time to develop an appropriate long-term solution.”
